Larry,

Yes, I have actual personal experience with the Spectrum Lt. Gray (Outrage Grey). I used it on my 1980 Montauk and it was not as good a match as the Desert Tan was, but it worked. It can be tinted lighter or darker as needed.

Obviously all hulls are different and the exteriors of Whaler hulls typically see a lot more sunlight and therefor have much greater variation in the color of the gel coat.

I have noted very obvious color differences on the same piece of fiberglass (a console shell) from one side to another. There is no ONE correct color.
