Considering purchase of a 13' Dauntless. Boat will be used for inshore and harbor fishing and some short cruises near the harbor. No plans to be far offshore or out for more than a few hours. Boat will be kept in yard, and trailered to harbor (mile) when it will be used. We've located a cuple of possibilities. One is a 1995 13'Dauntless with a 1995 Yamaha Pro 50 hp and Calkins galvanized trailer. It's offered for $5995. It's out of state (near relatives),so we'd need to take a day to go pick it up. Condition is very good or better (conservatively). The other is a 1998 13' Dauntless with a 2003 Mercury ELPTO 40 hp (3 hours),heavy duty trailer and bimini top. It's offered for $8900 and is about an hour away. It'sin ecellent shape. Cost is always a consideration! Plan is to keep the boat for a number of years for occasional fun. Are either of these boats worth considering further? Any thoughts on the pricing and what a reasonable offer may be? Thanks.

Yamaha engines are bullet proof! The 1995 offered at $5,995 would be very attractive for me. What type of Marine electronics are on it? Does it come with all of the USCG safety equipment? Does it have a Bimini top? Service records for the Motor?
