Can you order sheets of non skid from whaler? I see they have reference charts here. http://www.whalerparts.com/

I believe you will find that those are the Gibco Flex mold part numbers for the newer whalers. GF = Gibco Flex-mold BW= Boston Whaler and 327 is the pattern number.

I was looking for my sample set, but I don't believe that 327 matches my Outrage so anything older than what is listed is suspect.

In short, no you can't order non-skid because it is molded when the boat is made. You can order molds if you need to do repairs to recreate the non-skid pattern.

I ordered the gibco mold for the 72 19 Whaler - it does not match. I dont have part number off hand.

I have sanded down all of the non skid so matching isn't that big of a deal. I don't know if its practical to use the molds to do the entire deck though.

practical depends on you. there is a video from west systems showing how the process works. basically you start with a flat surface and using gelcoat roll the mold out on the surface. Once the gelcoat cures it you demold it and presto, non-skid.

After reading it, it looks like it would not be too bad as long as you are very careful with the first section. You should be able to lock onto it to form the rest. I guess if it doesn't work out, I can always grind it out and try again.
