I'll be painting my 15 whaler in/out in a couple of weeks but I don't know how much paint I need. I decided to go with eggshell.

Do any of you guys has painted a 15 whaler and know how much will I need?

I sprayed mine with awl grip. a quart topside and one and a half should get the whole side and bottom done. I used a different color on the side ( see personal page) and used a quart on the top. It takes a good bit to cover if you do new nonskid.

What color did you used inside?

BTW do you know if I can use a turbine to spray awlcraft? I have a brand new system that I wan to use for this project but I don't know if I can use it for awlcraft. This is the unit http://www.american-turbine.com/4000S.htm

I think I'm going to buy a gallon for the project, I'm doing the nonskid too with sand.
I thought I could get away with only 2 quarts.

I forgot to ask, how much 545 primer?

the system looks like it should work fine.

I used Oyster White on the top of mine. I started with a brighter white and sanded it down as soon as it cured. It was blinding when reflecting the sun.

I think it will be a stretch to get it done in two quarts but maybe others will have other ideas.

On the primer figure on the same amount of paint you will use.
