Looking at it with the size boat, 13', I think you may be better served with let's say an 8 HP Honda 4 stroke. The older 8 and 10 HP models can be had for ~ $450. These things will run forever and in my opinion would push your boat at a pretty good clip. I'm looking at acquiring an 8-10 HP to mount on a bracket on the swim platform of my 15'. Matt thanks for the advice. I will see what's available in a Yamaha 4 stroke. Still need advice on the best mount for my 13' Dauntless. Will reserch that directly with Whaler if I can not find someone who has mounted a bracket on a 13'. Best, Hank
