My '78 Montauk has a terminal block located on the port side stern. It distributes power for the nav lights forward and aft. Every time it rains I have to clean the connections because moisture gets under the screws and I lose power. I can't seem to find those little brown plastic covers for this application that I see on most Whalers. Anyone know where I can find one? Thanks.

I don't know were to get them.
When you do find the covers you might want to pick up some dielectric compound/grease and coat the block and terminals prior to reassembly next time you have them apart. Some folks swear by vaseline which is less expensive.

They were still available from any Boston Whaler dealer, they are off white now in color, look better than the original orange-brown.

Hi, You might try West Marine in their electrical dept. stuff. Sometimes they have black coloured boxes of differant sizes on the shelf. Also if you have a marine parts "outlet" type store that deals in new/used and surplus marine parts. There's one near here and when I go,I end up in there for quite some time, and alittle poorer. Just a thought......

Thank you all for the suggestions. I am sure I will find one from one of your sources.

All that I put in my previous reply was a web address and in retrospect that is not very helpful.
I have a 1985 Montauk and am the original owner. The junctions for the nav lights are a terminal strip on the inside of the port stern. The strip is covered by a small box with "Unibox" stamped inside. I assume that this is original. If you go to the website above you can find an identical box in a variety of colors. The boxes are intended for a different purpose so that one would have to drill holes for the wires to enter and for mounting screws.
I have bought such a box but have not yet replaced the original.

Although you can order an OEM cover from any Whaler dealer, the Unibox probably costs quite a bit less, and serves just as well.
