Great idea but I would like to add a cautionary note about using concrete blocks to support such a load. They can easily fail. As a professional firefighter, I've removed more than one corpse from under automobiles that have come down when using cement blocks to support them while being worked on.

A lot of folks have used them without problems. However the potential consequences of a failure can be dreadful.

Solid hardwood blocks work well.
