How do I get rid of rust spots on the deck of my Whaler. The spots are located mostly on the "non-skid". I have tried soft-scrub and also straight bleach. All to no avail. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Try some "Bon Ami" cleanser. Straight "household" bleach (Sodium Hypochlorate) is an "Oxidizer" (makes Rust).

I have had good luck with Star Brite Rust Stain Remover - spray it on, let it sit, wash it off...

I second the Wink product. It comes in a brown bottle and you can even find it in the grocery store. It has zero abrasives and will remove rust like magic on contact. We use it on the yachts all of the time. Just don't get it on your skin though. Seriously.

Thanks for all your help. I went to the store to look for some Bon Ami, but they didn't have,so I picked up some Bar Keepers Friend($2.00). I scrubbed the entire deck with a scrub brush and the BKF and while ithe deckwas not spotless, there was a dramatic improvement! I think that one more time will do it. I hope some of you out there give a try!
