Ok ,after my fiberglass guy has had my 17 footer for four months instead of the two he said he would need I finally got it back.
The problem, he said he could spray the inside with tuff coat the same color as the original whaler....am thinking he may be colorblind now.He did a great job on the inside but it is a rich, dark blue. He told me"don't worry it will lighten up to the original color". There is no way that is going to happen. My question is can tuff coat be repainted in the original color now? Is it going to take a lot of prep? I will eventually take it to another guy to get a bid but wanted to know if anyone has experience with painting the lighter whaler blu-green over a dark color. Thanks this site has proven to be a wellspring of useful information. Chris

Clean thoroughly, apply their CP-10 primer, apply desired color.

Pick a color...
