I got a PM from a guy in the SF area re: a Montauk 150 prospective purchase but lost the PM. Write back to me and I'll tell you all about it.

Sorry to take up room in the forums but didn't know what else to do...;-)

Thanks for the message. I've decided to go for a 2008 150 Sport. However, what are your thoughts on the 150 Montauk for the Bay?

Richard,

Having said what I did before, I will add this. I mentioned my experience on Clear Lake as an example. After having given that some thought, I realize that Clear Lake is very shallow for the size of the body of water and I think that makes the waves' interval...distance between the crests...much shorter than a deeper body of water. Waves on the Bay may well be easier to handle with a longer interval.

Does that make sense to anyone ?

Thanks, I'll be doing a sea trial this weekend if all goes well. The boat is a 150 Montauk, 2009 with a 60 Evinrude e-tec.
