Love the site and am a new member,so hello all. I grew up in Annapolis and all of us either had a Mako or BW. Here is a classic 13 I ran into for a good price and wondered if it is worth the effort. Pics are below. The boat sat upside down for 5+ years, and because of the few holes in the hull-I imagine some water has gotten in. It doesn't feel that heavy and tapping the hull produces no dull sounding spots. I walked the deck and feel no soft spots.
Just looks like alot of work to regel the exterior, patch the holes and repaint and outfit the interior. Any advice is appreciated...Thanks all!

I have one of those project boats also. There a lot of work but they are worth all the trouble. Good luck

Once you start working on that boat, you won't be able to stop. That's a small "FUN" hull, that's really "SOLID" !

I bought my first Whaler a Sport 13' for $300 Its spent its entire life outside in the Delaware Maryland Beach area. So it was a little rough when I got it. I traded the trashed 25HP Johnson for some much needed supplies and put a nice 35HP Merc on it restored the wood used for 10 years and sold it for $3995. Yes it was well worth it.

Appreciate the help and support. I'll set up a personal page and keep it loaded with pics of the project for anyone whow may want to follow the progress. I'm now wondering what my first step should be...alot to do

Just yesterday I was reminded by my dad of how close my 13' whaler was from being permanently abandon, hidden from view in the woods. Now it looks brand new, it was a large laborious effort but worth every minute (to me). My sanity was questioned until the brand new 1963 Boston Whaler rolled out of my shop provoking questions from the neighbors inquiring the whereabouts of that old boat.

Good to see I'm not the only "nut" out there willing to take on something like this. I'm curious (from anyone who had done it)...how long it generally takes to fill, sand and regel the exterior hull on one of these little 13 footers.
I've set up a personal page with a more complete set of pics as she sits now. I plan on updating the page with the progress-Thanks everyone.
