OK all you Whaler Experts. I am new to the site and like most others have found my way here because my path has crossed a Whaler in need.

I have created a Personal Page so you can see pictures of what I believe is a 13' Standard circa 1958-1963. Since she is pre-1972, she doesn't have a Hull Identification Number (HIN) plate and the owner painted the inside with a Non-Skid paint. I am currently working on historical records to try and find out the actual Stenciler serial number and year is. The owner (in her 80's) says she had it since 1953 but we know that they didn't start making these gems until 1958. I am thinking she might mean 1963.

Somewhere around 1980 or 1981 she had the interior repainted and it looks like the wood was replaced with an awful plywood. Side rails appear to be original. From the pictures you can see the exterior and interior and some of the gel coat appears to be gone. I have searched the web for restoration ideas and have seen both personal restorations and ones done by professionals. In my case I don't have the time to sand, sand, sand, paint, etc., so I am looking for advice or recommendations of professionals who can restore this baby.

She isn't going back into the water until she is fixed because I am concerned about the exposed fiberglass mesh on the interior floor and don't want to do any more damage. It took us all day to get the leaves and dirt outta her! Why people park open boats under trees I can't understand for the life of me. Let me know your thoughts and I will post more pics. Right now I am in the planning stage so I am not set on any specific direction other than I want to restore this gem. Thanks for all your help.
