I'm installing the rub rail on my 16' hull. The transom is not flush with the gunwales like on the newer hulls. The transom is slightly higher than the sides. I know that the insert wraps around the transom but how does the L-shaped piece and the rigid piece terminate? Does the L-shape piece end before the transom and the rigid piece extend until the corner?
