I just purchased a 1993 Montauk. Can someone tell me if the wood seat back and front and side console doors are Teak or Mahogany?

Thanks.

Joe,

Thank you so much much for the very quick reply. Thanks also for forwarding the refinishing photos. Someone told me to just use the teak refinishing kit. I'm inclined to gently sand the pieces first, then proceed with the teak refinishing procedures. Do you suggest this approach? Thanks again!

There's quite a few project albums that describe refinishing teak.

I personally sand, sand, and sand. And then I apply teak oil.

And here is one article in the article section which contain more articles on the subject.

Take some time and look through the Project Albums and the Articles. Lots of information there.
