I am trying to register my newly purchased Boston Whaler. From what I can tell, it is definately a Tashmoo model. Where do you find the VIN number on the boat?

VIN = Vehicle Identification number
This is for vehicles

HIN = Hull Identification number.
This is for watercraft

See these articles on HIN and Stencil numbers.

You can also view a Tashmoo model here:

No problem at all.

Just want to keep everyone on the same page.

All models 1972 and have should have a metal tag or HIN plate. Hoever, you may not have an HIN plate on that boat if it has been removed. If you still have one, it would be a small metal tag that is riveted on the back of the transom.

You can also give us your Stencil number. That should be on the inside of the transom below the motor and/or in the bow locker.
