kamie, agree, gelcoat is the best, just think that with the number of holes and imperfections, that applying a uniform coating to all surfaces might be the way to go. After having just refinished a console with gelcoat, I hesitate to encourage doing large areas, the amount of sanding is just mind blowing. You can't get away from the orange peel. But I guess you are not going that route anyway. Hey, on the positive side, filling all those little holes has got to be a great distraction from the day to day highs and lows. Very interested in how she comes out, keep us posted.
