Velcro...I hadn't thought of that. If I can get a sticky-backed velcro product that will stick to the boat without being absolutely permanent, that could do the trick. It would allow attachment/removal of the cushions without the screw (snap) holes. Great idea! Thanks! The counter-sinking to prevent cracking is a good idea as well, I just hate to drill holes in the old girl.
