Hey, I just bought a 1999 Ventura 18' with 20 hours on it! Absolutely pristine condition, with a 150 Optimax Saltwater 25" shaft, stainless prop, not sure of pitch. Just curious as to what kind of performance, speed and MPG I can expect? I think I read 40MPH or so. Seems slow, but I know they're heavier boats. Thanks in advance

Try to contact bluewaterpirate on THT the website. He is a long time owner of a boat similar to yours.

He has a Ventura 210. Not the same boat. Much heavier.

If you want top speed - smooth bottom paint, using engine trim and proper mounting of the engine (2 or 3 holes up) is necessary.

I want to say most of the Opti's came with a Laser II model of prop.
