New member here. Grew up on the Hudson river and have had many boats. Sold my last boat (21' WAC) in 2012 and have not been an owner since then. Am getting the itch so I can take my granddaughter on the water to get her involved and off the couch away from electronic pads and video games.

I am looking at a 1996 17' Outrage with a Yamaha 150 Saltwater Series outboard. Boat comes as a package with a single axle galvanized trailer.

I am looking for feedback on the boat itself. I have owned a Yamaha and am familiar enough to know what to inspect on the engine but I have never owner a Whaler before. Are there any concerns regarding this particular model that I should focus on during my inspection?
