Hello friends, I recently upgraded my GPS/Sonar from the Raymarine E7 (flawless for ten years) to the Raymarine Axiom 9+ with the RV100 tranducer. I am having issues with it not being able to keep a lock on the bottom at speed. The transducer (much larger than the one for the E7) is located exactly where the last one was. I noticed at speed the transducer (transom mount on the starboard side of the outboard) is barely in the water. It looks like I could lower it another inch or so but not sure that would make any difference. Anyone else have this issue and was able to find a solution? Thanks in advance!

If you are loosing bottom, a very small adjustment down will make alot of difference. Try 1/4".

Remember to reseal the screws with marine sealant (not adhesive) like Life Caulk.

Report back.

thanks for the tip, I moved it over two inches and down a inch or less and although not perfect it's locking on the bottom while moving much better. I wonder if the "3 D" transducer isn't as reliable as my old E7 transducer when it comes to a boat that is barely in the water while at speed like mine is.
