Hi everyone, thank you for being Boston whaler experts. I have an offer accepted for a 2005 conquest 305, $145k. It looks in great shape, there a generator was removed which seems pretty common, but the issue is this:

Last year, the owner spent $70k replacing the engines with warrantied twin Suzuki 300B duoprop (have receipts) and spent another ~20 K on random upgrades. The issue is why is he selling a year later at this price? Owner has had it for 15 yrs, which is great, and he seems quite well-off, has his own dock.

I am having it surveyed and trialed of course, although I got the surveyor from the selling broker (which is worrisome, but I can't find one near norwalk, CT).

My question is, is there anything special I should look for besides a wet hull? Will the heavier new engines be an issue or should that become obvious during the sea trial?

Any insights are appreciated!
