I have a 1987 15 striper with the side fiber glass side console and was wondering if anyone new what kind of material the black cover on top of the console is made of. Thanks

It could have been Tac-Mat. No longer made.
Look for 3M black vinyl at a sign shop or online. A mat finish with a bit of texture is suggested.

Black adhesive carbon fiber vinyl, by 3M, is extremely durable and looks very nice. Actually. it looks much better than the original material and lasts longer.
