Hi there,
Im new to this forum as I just purchased a 1979 Boston Whaler 17 Montauk !! so happy !!

I have a question. What are these 2 holes on the front starboard and port side ?

Thanks in advance ...Hope to get some great info from yall.

That is the bow rail stanchion backing plate holes.

Has someone removed the Bow Rail?

Ahhh. I see. I guess they must have been removed. Here is a pic of the boat.
Are they supports for the railing ?

i just realized the holes go all the way through . Seems they are just missing those Stanchion backing plates.

Placing my order now ...LOL
