I purchased a used 1986 Super Sport 2 years ago. It was customized with a center console, but it's too low to stand an steer the boat. I'm looking to replace the center console, repaint the interior, potentially pull out all the wood and add new seats to make it look more like a 1986 Montauk.

Questions:
1) Is the 1986 Super Sport and 1986 Montauk hull the same?
2) Any recommendations on interior color (I don't like the blue). It's currenlty white, but I was thinking of making it the same off white as the outside of the hull
3) Any recommendations on seats or center console. I've seen the Montauk center console and rear seat, but was looking for other options.

Thanks in advance for any help.

1. Yes. The 17' hull is the same.

2. Why not leave it original unless the original Gelcoat has already been painted over?

3. Look for an original console for a 1986 year model.

and an original Revsible Pilot Seat (RPS)

Then it would look like it came from the factory like that as a Montauk except for the Super Sport wrap around rail.

Thanks Joe. The original gelcoat was painted over, I don't want to do the blue, was the orignal interior color of the Montauk off-white?
