Hi gents, I have a 1974 montauk I am planning a trolling motor project for this coming winter. I’m looking at either a minnkota or motor guide saltwater bow mount with spot lock for fishing. My main concern is the lack of real estate on the deck of a non smirked hull to make this happen. I know it’s been done but I’m having trouble finding any pictures or threads related to mounting a trolling motor on an older model montauk vs a newer or smirked hull. I found this product from another thread which may assist in the mounting but the best exact location I’m still unsure of. Any ideas or forum members tackle this project yet on this hull?
