My anchor hatch cover has 2 hings with 6 10-24 machine screws and what I think are called barrel nuts on the bottom side. Has someone come up with a way to secure these hings when the nuts break free? I can't even find new nuts to epoxy back in.

You can replace the back side part with one that has a phillips head so you can tighten both sides.

That's exactly what I have been looking for! Thanks much!
The replacements cost $19 each and then I would have to epoxy them in and hope they hold.

Hang on, there is no epoxy necessary. The cover is through bolted. No epoxy.
