Has anyone built or have pictures of an engine shroud on a Whaler similar to the Conch 27

It may help to post a photo of engine shroud from a Conch 27.

I did a google search and see the shroud.

In over 20 years on several Whaler boards I have never seen anything like this on a whaler.

The closest thing is a polling platform above the engine.

Why would one want this?

Phil, Good question. What is the purpose of the shroud? It can't be a cosmetic "improvement".

Prevents water from coming in the cockpit from the stern, quieter engines and bait station on top. Some love em and some hate em... Very functional

That's very interesting. During forty plus years of boating I've never seen one. I wonder if it is a regional thing. Sounds clever and it is a convenient location for a bait station. It could include a live bait well. Thanks for the information. I'll be looking for this in the future.

Does your 25 Outrage have a notched transom?
