Here is the first one we have documented for 1972 with Desert Tan interior color.

There are 4 more listed above rtstultz in this list but no photos so we do not know for sure.

3A5088 1972 Bass Boat 16 ?
3A5239 1972 Bass Boat 16 ?
3A5376 1972 Cohasset 16 ?
3A5389 1972 Cohasset 16 ?

For those that aren't aware, 1972 was a transition year for interior hull colors in 16' models and also adding an HIN in November of 1972.

Let us know if you have an earlier 16' model with the Desert Tan interior.
Mostly - Bass Boat, Cohasset, Tashmoo

Do you have a list for the 13's already? I have actually heard of a few 1973's with blue interiors.

Never seen or heard of a 1973 13' with a blue interior unless it was an owner paint job.

1972 to 1973 again was a transition year so anything may be possible.
HIN did not start until November of 1972 and these should have been as a 1973 year model as shown in post#1.

So, no 13' Blue interiors that I am aware of from 11-1-1972 to 12-31-1972 as a 1973 year model which also had an HIN.

2A9394 is the last blue interior we show but does not list the manufacturer date, only the year model of 1972 and no HIN.

We would need to verify the date the boat was shipped out and a photo of the original interior to know for sure. 8-1-1972 to 10-31-1972 as these did NOT have an HIN, only the Stencil.

Back to 16' Hulls.

In 2019 I bought a Katama 16, hull stencil 3A6090, with the original blue interior gelcoat still (mostly) intact.

I just added this boat info to my profile. I hope it helps in narrowing down your search.

I am new to Whaler Central and saw this post. I have a 1972 Blue Interior Stencil 3A6030 and according to Boston Whaler it was originally a Minot. Later this year or early spring 2021 it will be a Nauset with Mahogany Console and optional RPS

I can confirm Stencil 3A5391 is a 1972 Cohasset 16 model with a desert tan gel coat interior color. I have photographs of the vessel.
