Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: 1979 Montauk 17 Capacity Plate Location

I tried to search but didn't find a thread. Can anyone tell me the proper location for the capacity plate on my 1979 Montauk. Original one is missing.

My 1979 Montauk has the Capacity Plate and the Compliance Plate on the Starboard side just below the gunwale and just aft of the console on the inside of the hull. The capacity plate is riveted and the compliance plate is a decal.

If you look between the console and the seat looking from port to starboard, it can be seen on my boat.

You can get a nearly OEM reproduction capacity plate from Magic Brush.
