Hello new to Whaler Central. Recently added a hard top to my 27' Walkaround (1991). Really pleased with the top. It is made of 5/16" thick ploycarbonate and anodized aluminum and it is guaranteed for 10 years. It is so much better than canvas because it is cooler (translucent panels) and extremely wind resistant. If anyone wants more info let me know.

Hey Joe,
You seem to be in the 'know' on Whaler specifics (and I believe you have helped me in the past

). Whaler is closed for the holidays, and my questions is: I want to install a battery- style strap tie down for my Isolater transformer (to supplement the 4 hold-down screws).

In general, Whaler uses a 3/4" #10 ss screw but it appears the holes have an insert, which appears plastic. I can't find any info on these, tho I did purchase some 'tap' screws which had metal sleeves (for my fish box hinges).

any suggestions on a sleeve for a 3/4" ss screw, and the diameter of the hole for the sleeve? (cautioning to restrict depth of hole and drill bit, of course)
thanks in advance -

Robb
