Yamaha F70 on a 2002 Montauk 17 needs a Yamaha Performance Series stainless steel 3 blade 13.25 x 14 propeller and the motor needs to be mounted 3 holes up. 3 holes up is as high as you can go. This is the perfect set-up for this combination. This information was given to me by Tom W Clark and this is how my boat is set-up. With 2 people you will get around 36 mph and alone with a light load and trimmed just right you should get close to 38mph.
