EddieM- I would be interested in your information. I recently purchased a 2002 Montauk 17 (classic hull) which has a 2013 Yamaha f70. I do not know what propeller is on the motor, and I do not know how many holes up it is mounted. The boat is not currently at my home. I do know when I purchased the boat, top end was only 29 mph according to the garmin gps. Two men on board, half tank of fuel (maybe 425 pounds), calm conditions, little to no wind. I feel this hull and engine is capable of better performance. Please share what information you can to advise me.
