The Yamaha is a great choice. I think all 90 4S motors are too heavy unless you have an Alert 17 or Outrage hull. You will not feel comfortable with the trim after adding a heavy weight engine on the transom. If you want extra power your only option in my opinion is the E Tec 90. We have mounted three F70 Yamaha motors on 17' hulls. They are reliable, quick starting, very responsive and fuel efficient. Four adults and gear work well. We tube with three adults and two kids and, it works great. I have tested and have the necessary information for mounting and, exact prop sizing for maximum performance for the F70. Best of luck.
