No cup holders! What to do? Not that I have to have a drink with me, but also to put the phone, cigs, lighter and sunglasses somewhere easily accessible. A close at hand waterbottle sure is nice to have. My car has 6 cupholders, why should my boat have none?

There is a flat area behind the throttle that looks like a perfect spot for it. However, it's a tad short, so the lip of the stainless cup holder overhangs the rounded edge by about 1/16 th inch. I think it will look fine.
I bought two stainless cupholders and a 3 5/8" hole saw blade.

The tape is on and drill holes marked. I'm set to go in, but...am I making a mistake?

Somebody tell me why I should not do this?

I can't seem to load a photo. I'm attaching a jpg file and get error message

I see that 2016 150 Montauk's have their cupholders in that same location.

Hey KQ: You're trying to store "stuff" not cups. Me too. I have cupholders ... with cups in 'em! I replaced the cheap shallow plastic Whaler cupholders with Stainless stepped deeper ones from Amazon.

But for storage, I was still short. I tried this cargo net bag, tied at the top to a side rail, and the bottom ties, I attached to huge suction cups. I've only just put this on my boat, but on the trial run it was great. We stuffed my VHF handheld, sunglasses, and empty candy wrappers in it ... all held nicely, no shifting, etc. I'm gonna grab another one, they're so unobtrusive and handy!

Hope this helps your storage quest.
