New owner of a V22 1981.I am having trouble with the trim.Boat also lists to side from time to time.She has a Suzuki 250hp 2010 4 stroke for power.Above is also affected by speed we are doing. The more power the more difficult it is to control.
Would appreciate some advice.Has anyone had the same problem ?

I have the same hull. A 1979 22' Revenge. Mine has/had the same issue. I have trim tabs and it corrected the list. You may be able to do something with the small adjustment rudder like "thingy" on the back of the lower unit of the motor. That is 100% out of my realm of advice. Do check with your insurance. The hull is rated for 235hp and the 250hp is above the rating. Welcome to the club. There is a small core of fellows with the same hull. Do check your deck layout and see if the cuddy cabin frame covers the screws for the deck removal to get to the fuel tank. Also......if the brass/alloy through drains are original a definite time to replace. Again welcome and good luck.

Garris is referring to the trim tab anode on the lower unit.
The tab helps counteract the rotational forces of the prop turning. Typically the tab is angled slightly.
Stand behind the boat, facing forward and look straight down to the ground. If the tab is straight, it is at the 6 o'clock position. Most adjust the tab to ~ 5 o'clock or less.
Is the boat level (side-to-side) at rest/anchor. If not, shift some weight.
Also note that side winds will have an affect on lateral trim.

Thank you for your input. I will check out the settings and will report back.I just don't believe that a boat as good as a Boston Whaler would be that difficult to handle.As mentioned she only has one engine.At the dock she is perfectly level.Could it be that it has something to do with the prop?

Anti ventilation. If you have the same hull as mine you have the low cut, self bailing, transom. Do check the motor height. The anti ventilation plate should be a couple inches higher than the keel and play with Phil's adjustment of the trim tab anode (much better description than my "thing-a-majig"). I had a jackplate and trim tabs for correcting. Positioning of people on the boat had a definite effect on trim.

My 1983 Revenge 22 likes to have as much bow lift, moter trimmed up, as possible. With the canvas up, she will lean into the wind quite a bit.
