First time poster...
2 days ago I purchased a 1996 15' Dauntless. I've been getting the boat in shape and the only issue I've encountered involves a back deck cooler/storage compartment on the port side. My first question is...did the compartment come standard on that boat? It just doesn't look right to me. It has a plastic insert with no drainage and can't be removed without pulling 10 screws or so. When I removed it I found some moist dry rot on the inside of the deck around the perimeter. I scratched out an inch or so but now am unsure as to what product to use the fill the void. Any ideas?
