BMW - thanks so much for the insight. I too would like to stick with a 12v system. My intention for a trolling motor is to troll the flying the birds or looking for red's on the shoreline. Nothing else. What thrust motor do you have and length of shaft? What are you calling the puck? I assume you've drill pilot holes and fill with a resien or two marine part epoxy? The punk would go right into the small non skid area on the bow. Is this what you drill into? Thanks so much!
