I owned a 1989 Outrge 20 with WhalerDrive and a Honda 2007 200 for 8 years. It was a great boat and in fact I just sold it without having to list it for sale. It went to a great owner for a very fair price. I have moved up to a 1991 Outrage 25 whalerDrive so that I can fish a little further out. The Outrage 20 is not a 10 person boat but did us well with four adults and four kids. I liked it better than an open transom 22 and it handled better than the Outrage 18 in rough water. As to a fair price it really depends on the condition of the motor. $14k could be fair if the motor has been really well maintained. But I would want to be very sure about the motor.

I went from a 1966 16' Whaler to the 20 Outrage. Had I owned an Outrage 18' I do not think I would have gone for the Outrage 20 but would have waited for a classic Ourtage 25. That said I loved the Outrage 20 and will miss its ease of trailering, it's low use of fuel and the fact that it always got me home in some rough weather off Cape Cod.

I am sure I will feel the same about the Outrage 25 once I get to know it and after I complete its restoration:

- new fuel tank
- new engines
- new steering
- new wiring
- all new teak
