The 30 E-TEC with a 13" prop running at 5850rpm did about 31mph.
The 2000 Johnson 40 hp 2-stroke did about 33-34
The 40 E-TEC would be somewhere near the Johnson 40
Any of them will pull a tube with 2-3 adults aboard with no problem.
