I have what I believe is a 1968 sport. Could be wrong. The transom has three handholds. Is this indicative of the year model?

Joe when I purchased it there was some old paperwork that indicated the motor and trailer are both 1968 models. I took a guess that the boat is a 1968 model. I can not find a serial number on the boat. The boat has been painted. When spring gets here I will strip it and possibly expose the serial number.

Yes, it is hard to tell if the boat has been painted.
Your Stencil number is most likely in the Bow Locker.
Let us know what you find in the Spring.
