I am presently looking at options for equipping my center console with all new circuitry es.
Choices of components for this need are numerous and could be narrowed down to the best for function and prices.
What are your best experiences when shopping for the parts?

Hi Serge,
I'm really impressed with Blue Sea products, having used them on 2 of my boats so far. In addition to being well designed and well made, they have excellent documentation and support.

Having rewired my Montauk and my Outrage 17 twice, I would agree that Blue Seas makes good equipment BUT it is expensive. I learned a lot.

If you are not planning to have a lot of fancy electronics, accessory lights, trolling etc, I would go simple and straightforward.

Rather than a integrated bus bar with fuses and negative bar like this https://www.bluesea.com/products/5026...r/featured

I would go with a simple pos/negative bar with separate fuses at the switch in a panel. This is similar to the original Whaler design back in the 70's-80's.

Use simple single push/pull switch with a fuse. Cole Hersey for switches.
From the battery, run a dedicated 8 gauge wire to the neg/positive bus bar with an in-line fuse to power all accessories. Don't daisy chain.
