Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: Revenge 25 hull ride

I have owned a 1972 sourpuss 13 and a 1968 Nauset. I currently have a older 21' Ray Hunt designed deep -V hull (Hiliner Sportsman) and I am honestly dissapointed in the ride. It is a runabout with forward sit down seating and I'm starting to think that standing when steering and being farther aft in a boat (when steering) has as much to do with the percieved "ride" as the hull design.

I want to go bigger 24-26ft and after riding in and looking at other boats I always seem to come back to the quality of Boston Whaler. My wife would like to sit behind a windsceen and have at least a port-a-potty. I am seriously thinking about the Revenge 25 but don't want to drop more $ and be dissappointed as this next boat is probably my last.

I would love to hear from anyone with time in this hull. I've read all I can find about the Revenge 22 (mostly favorable) but little on the 25... is it significantly better /different? How does it ride in small bay chop ...offshore in bigger waves and chop.

I would use it mostly inside Narragansett Bay with ocassional runs to Block Island and Cutty Hunk. My best scenario wuold be to find a solid hull the needs repower and put a new fourstroke on.
