Hello everybody,

New to the site and new owner of a 1986 super sport 13. Supposedly a freshwater boat it's whole life and all original. Boat came with a 1997 Johnson 30 HP with only 30 or so hours on it, which a mechanic told me was probably true given it's compression was 135 in each cylinder and amazingly clean. Funny thing is on the trailer, I moved to Charleston, SC about a year ago from San Diego, and on the trailer is a Coronado Yacht Club (my hometown in San Diego) member sticker.

My HIN tag only shows 8 digits and I'm hoping to find the rest. It shows 1456K586, so I assume it's missing BWC?

I am debating putting a wrap around rail on it (for kids sake). Any thoughts or reason not to? Also, does anybody know if i can add backrest/storage box to my model?

I have created a personal page with photos for anyone interested.

Thank you.

Welcome aboard WhalerCentral.

I filled in the blanks for you.
BWCL

See this:

For others that aren't aware, all HIN numbers are 12 characters in length exactly.
No more or no less and there are no spaces (even though it may look like spaces on some tags)

Yes, your boat is missing the original wrap around rail.

Nice boat, what's that metal panel in the middle of the pilot seat?

The metal plate is a receiver for a seat, the guy I bought it from had just put it in. I wish he hadn't.
