Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: 2001 Conquest 28 / 295 - water in bilge

I have had this boat just over 1 year. The bilge always has water in it and the pump has to run on occasion. I cannot figure out where the water is coming from (salt). Is this normal?

Not sure how yours is setup but on my 1999 conquest 23 I was getting water from my fish box in the floor. The box was not sealed to the deck so water was going from the box to the bilge. Many tubes of silicone later problem solved.

Salt water...no. You will generally always have "some" water in there but it shouldn't be salt water. It could be a thru hull fitting transducer or something as simple as a bad oring on the stern plug
