Newbie, I wonder if I should plug the drain port in the bow anchor well when underway?

Always busy as a new boat pilot (uh.. what's that noise??), I never got to look what's going on in there..!!


Two related questions:

- it appears the plug is a 7/8 size. Correct?
- where do you keep your spare plug (my used boat came with two plugs)?
