If the boat were mine I would try not to replace any parts that could be saved thus maintaining the original quality of the boat as intact as possible. A bit of hard work with some polish will probably restore the gel coat to perfection. Such an approach would, I believe, enhance the value of the boat for the day when you may consider a sale. Meanwhile you will have an almost perfect example of a classic Boston Whaler boat to enjoy on the water.
