I am currently giving my 15' whaler a makeover ! I was sanding the bottom and I noticed a depression on each side of center about 8" from bottom back edge of hull. Did 15' whalers have a hook similar to the 13's ?

Todd: Did your 15 foot hull sit on a roller trailer for a period of time?

It was not on a roller trailer when I bought it a few months ago. If the hook is not factory on others , then it was definitely caused buy the trailer. The trailer was setup poor to say the least. I will just add some glass in that area and fair it out with gelcoat. I was going to start painting it today and I noticed the depressions . They are roughly 1/4" at the deepest.

Have I been down this road.....

Boston Whaler intentionally made the 15' hull with all sorts of highs and lows. I had my hull upended in the backyard with high and low written in grease pencil intending to prove to Boston Whaler that I have a defective hull until I went by a local boat yard which had several 15s face down. The hulls there had the same highs, lows, hooks and rockers as mine.
