I have a Montauk 17 from 1982 can anyone tell me the correct location for the Montauk 17 decals on each side?

Joe- i looked at this and found the location for my 28 inch whaler decals but not the 17 Montauk decals?

The Montauk comes under:
16/17' models
and 28 inch decals (1979-1993)

I misread your question. My fault.
MONTAUK - 17' decals
Boat is not here at the moment.
Take a look through the members personal pages to get an very close idea.
Here is just one of many, many examples:

These should basically be the same throughout all the years for the Classic Montauk.

You can see a close up of the "Montauk 17" decals here. This is the original decal, installed by the factory. It would have been the same on the 1982 boats.

The later Classic 17 hulls have a larger logo. I'm not sure what year they changed but I've seen the smaller ones up to the late 1970's, at least.

MONTAUK - 17 decal.

Jay,
My 1978 had the small 14" Whaler decals and the
MONTAUK - 17'
So did a friend of mines 1977.
The
MONTAUK - 17' decals were first seen on the 1976 Montauk 17' models with the smirk hull.

You could put another set back on.
