I have to throw out another vote for the Outrage. We have owned both. The V-shaped hull of the Outrage rides better than the tri-hull on the Montauk in choppy seas. The higher gunwales are nice too. When I'm on a Montauk now, it feels small in comparison. There are 6 in my family, so the extra room helped a lot. I like the extra fuel capacity as well.

Remember - boats shrink in contact with water so you have to keep getting bigger ones.
