I have a 1987 11" Whaler that I am installing a 1998 25hp Evinrude outboard on. Has any one done this? It looks t o me like the steering cable will hit the inside of the transom. I haven't purchase the rotary cable system yet, because I want to be sure. Any help or advise would be appreciated.

Are you talking about using a teleflex steering cable?

Yes Dave. I am, but now I found out I will need these things. Teleflex SA27149P CLAMP BLOCK KIT STAINLESS
Teleflex SA27275P STAINLESS SUPPORT TUBE KIT
CLEVIS KIT —STAINLESS STEEL
I found the first two Items, but can find the last, except in the kit from Jamestown Dist. for $253.00 I might go with the CMC PT-35 Tilt and Trim Plate. That would work if I can get it to mount with the limited transom space inside the Whaler.
